I’ve always believed that the most beautiful moments in life don’t ask for attention — they simply happen. A shared glance. The brush of a hand. The sound of quiet laughter between people who love each other. Those are the moments that move me, and they’re the ones I’ve built Elation Photography around. 

My name is Carli Cloete, and I’m the storyteller behind the lens. Photography found me in the small, ordinary moments — the kind that most people rush past, but I could never stop noticing. I’ve always been drawn to emotion, to connection, to the way light softens against skin or how love can be felt even in silence. Over time, I realised that capturing those fleeting feelings was more than just something I loved — it was something I was meant to do. 

That’s how Elation Photography was born. For me, the word “elation” isn’t about loud joy or perfect smiles; it’s about that deep, quiet happiness that sits in your chest — the kind you feel when you’re truly seen and understood. My goal is to preserve that feeling for you — to freeze a piece of time that you’ll be able to hold onto, even years from now.
